Samantha is the director and legal Counsel at Greenwatch. Her passion for the environment began at a very young age, when she was older the decision to pursue her passion was clear cut.
She interned with Greenwatch in 2005 at the time she was still studying for a Bachelor of Laws Degree at Uganda Christian University – Mukono. Thereafter, she joined the University of Oregon Masters of Laws in Environmental and Natural Resources program. In 2013, Samantha worked with the Centre for Environmental Rights in Cape Town South Africa. In 2014, she moved back to Kampala and continued to work with Greenwatch as legal counsel.
Samantha is a practicing advocate with Kakuru and Co. Advocates and a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society and the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide.

Holds a degree in Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University.
A post graduate diploma in Legal practice from Law Development Centre.
Has interned with City Hall Court and Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
Nuwasiima is interested in environmental law, human rights and corporate and commercial law.
While at Greenwatch, she has engaged in different projects regarding climate change activism and coordinating and organizing training for judicial officers, developing concepts note and tool guides for local communities. This experience has improved her knowledge about the same exponentially.
She is enthusiastic about creating a difference in Uganda, Africa and the World through environmental advocacy and is looking forward to achieve the same
Bridget is passionate about environmental law. She holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) from Uganda Christian University. While working with Greenwatch, Bridget strives to play an influential role in promoting the enforcement of the right to a clean and healthy environment through sustainable living.
Bridget completed her clerkship with Kakuru and Co. Advocates and coincidentally got the opportunity to work with Greenwatch on public interest litigation where she is currently engaged.
She has previously worked at Muhimbura & Co. Advocates and R. Mackay Advocates.
Bridget is interested in Human Rights Law, Animal Rights and she is a champion for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
In her free time Bridget enjoys pottery, films and reading insightful literature.
Joseph Mukasa holds a master’s degree in Climate Change Adaptation from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Bachelor’s degree in Science Education (Biological) from Gulu University. He has carried out a number of climate change research and published a research article titled “Drought and household adaptive capacity to water scarcity in Kasali, Kyotera, Uganda” in the journal of Water and Climate Change (WCC) (https://doi.org/10.2166/wcc.2020.012). He has done a number of presentations in major conferences including “Evidence to Action” that took place in Nairobi, Kenya, “5th Africa Climate and Development Initiative (ACDI) Poster Presentation” at the University of Cape town, South Africa, “Uganda Water and Environment Week 2020 (UWEWK 2020)” at Entebbe, Uganda among others
He is passionate about climate change and environment. He believes that each one can together do simple things that collectively can save our planet now and in future. He loves the efforts that Greenwatch is putting in to save our mother planet and he feels blessed to volunteer with such an organization.
