Samantha is the director and legal Counsel at Greenwatch. Her passion for the environment began at a very young age, when she was older the decision to pursue her passion was clear cut.
She interned with Greenwatch in 2005 at the time she was still studying for a Bachelor of Laws Degree at Uganda Christian University – Mukono. Thereafter, she joined the University of Oregon Masters of Laws in Environmental and Natural Resources program. In 2013, Samantha worked with the Centre for Environmental Rights in Cape Town South Africa. In 2014, she moved back to Kampala and continued to work with Greenwatch as legal counsel.
Samantha is a practicing advocate with Kakuru and Co. Advocates and a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society and the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide.

Experienced Tax consultant with a ten-year experience in the taxation field. She mainly specializes in providing tax compliance and consulting services focusing on various economic sectors inclusive of financial services, construction, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing among many others.
Daphine holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from Swinburne University of Technology Malaysia.
Dennis Otatina is a Partner at Dentons in Uganda, where he heads the Corporate and Commercial practice group. With over 13 years of experience, Dennis has been a trusted advisor to clients on various business transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets across Uganda and East Africa. He recently played a key role in setting up the first private equity fund based in Uganda and regularly guides both local and international funds on their investments.
Dennis is known for offering practical and innovative solutions that meet regulatory requirements, minimize risks, and ensure swift, successful deal closures. Throughout his career, he has supported investors, funders, and businesses in organizing both domestic and international corporate loans, as well as handling corporate reorganizations and debt restructurings. He has a deep understanding of the financial services, fintech, agriculture, manufacturing, and retail industries, making him a versatile advisor in these sectors.
Anne Tumwesigye Mbonye is an Advocate of the High Court and all courts subordinate in Uganda. Ms Mbonye holds a Bachelors in Law Degree from Makerere University and a Masters in Law Degree from University of Cape Town.
Ms Mbonye is currently a partner at Tumwesigye Mbonye & Company Advocates where she specializes in Corporate Law & Corporate Governance. She has had the privilege of sitting on a number of private and public companies in Uganda.
Ms Mbonye has a deep passion for the environment and protecting the environment.
Ms Mbonye is a member of Uganda Law Society, East Africa Law Society and the Institute of Corporate Governance Uganda .
Victoria is a lawyer and an Energy and Mining expert, with extensive experience working on various projects in the different parts of the Globe. She is a holder of a PhD in International Energy Law and Policy (Dundee, UK). She is the CEO and lead consultant at Nalule Energy & Minerals Consultants (NEM Energy). She is an Energy & Natural Resources Law Lecturer at the University of Bradford, UK.
Victoria is enthusiastic about energy arbitration & dispute resolution. As such, she is an Arbitrator at the Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (EDAC), Turkey. She is a committee member at the International Law Association (ILA).
Victoria is an author of eight books and has widely published on topics relating to oil, gas, renewable energy transition, climate change, mining and International Arbitration. Victoria is also the lead editor for a living reference book project by Palgrave focused on ‘International Arbitration in the African Energy and Mining Sectors’.
Victoria offers extensive experience in the Energy and Mining sectors having worked with various institutions; regional and international organizations including assignments for the African Union; African Development Bank; Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI); The Queen Mary University of London (EU Energy Project); The International Energy Charter Secretariat in Belgium; and other governments across the globe.
