In collaboration with The Kenneth Kakuru Afforestation & Reforestation Initiative and FAMU, we conducted our first site visit to Kasese, where we plan to plant trees along the banks of the Rwembya and Nyamasagani rivers—areas heavily impacted by flooding. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. James Bwambale, the head of the environmental club at St. Theresa Secondary School, Kasese. The school has successfully potted 5,000 tree seedlings in their nursery beds, which are now ready for planting.
